The Westmoreland
County Democratic Committee consists of one male and one female
Committeeperson from each of Westmoreland County's 306 voting
precincts. The Demcratic Committee's job includes spreading the
word about the Democratic Party, registering voters, petitioning
for Democratic Canidates, helping Democratic candidates, working
outside the polls on election day (or getting helpers to do this)
and attending County meetings.

HOW TO BECOME
A COMMITTEE MEMBER
County and
State Democratic Committeepeople run for their office every four
years, during the Primary Election held in the year in which
the Pennsylvania Governor is elected. To get on the ballot for
County Committee, a candidate must file a petition with the Westmoreland
County Board of Elections. To get more information on how to

or Democratic Headquarters (address above at the top of this
page.)
Vacancies sometimes
occurr during the term of office requiring an appointment to
complete the term.
